Information About The Fundraiser

This annual fundraiser supports the artists by paying them a small stipend to share their work with the community of Coppell and sometimes the Coppel Arts Council is able to purchase the art and make it a permanent landmark for our community. Amos (the trumpet player at the Arts Center), King Crow (the crow at the Old Town Community Garden) and the Red Pony (the abstract horse on the lawn adjacent to the Farmers Market Pavilion) are all examples of art pieces the Coppell Arts Council have made permanent for our community to enjoy. The Coppell Arts Council also curates all the Art Exhibits at the Coppell Arts Center with dollars raised at this annual fundraiser and created the "For Pete's Sake Arts Scholarship Fund" to honor and continue the legacy Wheelice "Pete" Wilson began to support Coppell Students interested in learning and participating in the arts in our community. The funds raised at the Art Sip and Stroll annually benefits the community of Coppell in many ways and supports the Coppell Arts Council's mission to continue to expose all disciples of Art to the community.
