Monday, June 2 - Friday, June 6
9:30 AM - 12:30 PM in the Vari Studio Workspace
This summer, join Kate Shema from Createria Studios as she leads a whole summer's worth of awesome art adventures during the Coppell Arts Center Children's Summer Art Camps! Every week explores a new theme: Animal Kingdom, Famous Artists, Tropcial Paradise, Magical Creatures, and Wildcard Art Camp. Get creative with cool materials - paint, clay, felt, and more. Let's get creative!
Week 1: Animal Kingdom!
Embark on a wild artistic adventure through the animal kingdom! Each day brings a new and exciting way to create:
Monday, June 2 - Whimsical Hedgehog Haven
- Transform a simple wooden disk into a vibrant work of art! Using acrylic paints, your child will bring to life a charming hedgehog, complete with a touch of whimsy.
Tuesday, June 3 - Majestic Cardboard Giraffe Safari
- Construct a 3D giraffe that will stand proud! Through the magic of cardboard engineering and paints, your child will learn to create a lifelike giraffe, capturing its elegant form and distinctive patterns.
Wednesday, June 4 - Llama's Cozy Woven Wonder
- Using a simple loom and a rainbow of yarns, your child will weave a textured masterpiece, adding warmth and charm to their woolly companion.
Thursday, June 5 - Snuggly Panda Plushie Palooza
- Discover the joy of sewing and create an adorable panda plushie! With soft felt and fluffy stuffing, your child will learn basic sewing techniques to bring their cuddly panda to life. This craft may be more difficult for younger students. Please use your discretion when registering your student or plan to sit with your child for the duration of the class.
Friday, June 6 - Sloth's Serene Sculpted Sanctuary
- Transform clay into a charming hanging sloth bowl! Students will learn sculpting techniques to form a unique, functional piece, capturing the tranquil spirit of the sloth in its design.
Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (optional), comfortable clothes that can get messy, and a big imagination! Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up soon and and let the fun begin!
Please purchase 1 ticket per child. Class tickets can be purchased individually by the day OR a full week can be purchased as a package.
All class materials are included with the ticket purchase. Parents are welcome to drop off their child or stay during the class in the Arts Center in the Vari Studio Workspace.
