This summer, join Kate Shema from Createria Studios as she leads a whole summer's worth of awesome art adventures during the Coppell Arts Center Children's Summer Art Camps! Every week explores a new theme: Animal Kingdom, Famous Artists, Tropcial Paradise, Magical Creatures, and Wildcard Art Camp. Get creative with cool materials - paint, clay, felt, and more. Let's get creative!
Week 3: Tropical Paradise!
Let your imagination set sail for a week of tropical artistic adventures! This week, we'll explore the vibrant colors, fascinating creatures, and sun-kissed landscapes of a tropical paradise.
Monday, June 16 - Sandy Shores and Sun-Kissed Castles
- Transform a wooden disk into a miniature beach escape! Students will paint a playful sandcastle scene, complete with shimmering waves, golden sand, and maybe even a tiny crab or two.
Tuesday, June 17 - Majestic Manta Ray of the Deep
- Construct a magnificent 3D manta ray using recycled cardboard and a splash of creativity! Students will learn to shape and assemble their manta, adding details and textures to bring this graceful creature to life.
Wednesday, June 18 - Cockatoo's Colorful Collage Carnival
- Design and construct an abstract mask inspired by the bold forms and vibrant colors of modern art! Students will explore shape, color, and texture, creating a unique and expressive mask that reflects their own artistic vision.
Thursday, June 19 - Coral Reef's Shadowbox Secret
- Dive into the depths of a coral reef and create a captivating shadowbox! Using tissue paper, clay, and sparkling beads, students will craft a miniature underwater world, teeming with life and color.
Friday, June 20 - Floating Fantasy: Bead Jellyfish Mobile
- Craft a mesmerizing hanging jellyfish mobile using colorful beads and sculpted clay! Students will design and assemble their own unique jellyfish, creating a whimsical piece that dances and shimmers in the light.
Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (optional), comfortable clothes that can get messy, and a big imagination! Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up soon and let the fun begin!
Please purchase 1 ticket per child. Class tickets can be purchased individually by the day OR a full week can be purchased as a package.
All class materials are included with the ticket purchase. Parents are welcome to drop off their child or stay during the class in the Arts Center in the Vari Studio Workspace.
No experience is necessary. Classes are available to children ages 6 to 12.
* NOTE: A parent or guardian must be present to sign their child in and out for each class.
