This summer, join Kate Shema from Createria Studios as she leads a whole summer's worth of awesome art adventures during the Coppell Arts Center Children's Summer Art Camps! Every week explores a new theme: Animal Kingdom, Famous Artists, Tropcial Paradise, Magical Creatures, and Wildcard Art Camp. Get creative with cool materials - paint, clay, felt, and more. Let's get creative! 

Week 4: Magical Creatures!

Step into a realm of enchantment and bring legendary beings to life! We've designed a collection of unique projects that will spark your imagination and ignite your artistic passion. From mythical creatures to whimsical inventions, get ready for a summer of artistic exploration and unforgettable creations!

Monday, July 14 - Griffin's Majestic Flight

• Paint a powerful griffin on canvas, capturing its regal strength and mythical beauty. Students will learn to blend acrylics and create dynamic compositions, bringing this legendary creature to vibrant life.

Tuesday, July 15 - Nian's Fearsome Mask

• Craft a dramatic Nian mask, channeling the power and mystery of this ancient Chinese beast. Students will use paper and paint to create a fearsome visage, complete with intricate details and vibrant colors.

Wednesday, July 16 - Dragon Puppet's Dance

• Construct a jointed paper dragon puppet, bringing this mythical creature to life with movement and charm. Students will learn to create articulated figures, allowing their dragons to dance and soar. 

Thursday, July 17 - Genie's Enchanted Lamp

• Sculpt a whimsical genie lamp from clay, ready to grant wishes and spark imagination. Students will learn to shape and refine clay, adding details and magical touches.

Friday, July 18 - Hobbit Hole's Secret Sanctuary

• Craft a cozy Hobbit hole shadowbox, using clay and natural materials to create a miniature world of fantasy. Students will design and build their own hidden sanctuary, complete with charming details and rustic charm.

Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (optional), comfortable clothes that can get messy, and a big imagination! Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up soon and let the fun begin!

Please purchase 1 ticket per child. Class tickets can be purchased individually by the day OR a full week can be purchased as a package.

All class materials are included with the ticket purchase. Parents are welcome to drop off their child or stay during the class in the Arts Center in the Vari Studio Workspace. 

No experience is necessary. Classes are available to children ages 6 to 12.

* NOTE: A parent or guardian must be present to sign their child in and out for each class.
